Feb 16th - Ellis Hospital Dr. Panemanglore

Hi guys.  Finally have my date for the 16th of Feb in Schenectady, NY.  I start 4 weeks of Medifast on the 13th of Jan which I think I'm dreading more that the surgery and after lol.  Dealing with all the pre-op testing etc and looking for anyone who is also having surgery in my area soon to chat with.

I had my surgery on September 26th with Dr Panamenglore. He was great. I survived 4 weeks of medifast it really isnt as bad as we make ir out to be. YOU WILL DO GREAT.

Thanks for the encouragement!  He seems like a great doctor and was very reassuring to me.  I'm glad to hear the medifast isn't too bad...I just can't wait to get this all started!

he did my surgery on 12/6/07. He was AWESOME. I have lost 125 pounds. For the medifast, use ICE , ICE COLD WATER and try some extracts. Worked well for me!

That's so good to hear that he did a good job with you.  Congrats on your weight loss!! That is amazing!!  I'm hoping to lose about the same so we shall see :)  I'm going to try to ice cold water idea...and I'll look into the flavors.  Thanks for the tip!

I am having my surgery on 1/12 with Dr. Panamanglore also. He seems like a great guy. I meet him next week again for final visit. I had my appt to get my Medifast stuff this morning. I am starting tomorrow. 2 weeks for me!

Hey Lisa...I think we have chatted a bit before!  I'm looking forward to seeing how you do with your surgery.  You are my guinea pig just kidding lol!  How did all your pre-op stuff turn out?  I had my chest xray and bloodwork plus ultrasound so far...everything great except low Vit D and I need my gallbladder out two weeks before my RNY (yay not!).  He's not going to make me do a sleep study unless my blood gases turn out bad (whatever that means) but I'm just thrilled I might escape the dreaded sleep study lol.

I had my gallbladder out years before the surgery. Be grateful! I am telling ya you don't want the pain of gallstones!

Yeah I had a sever attack a few weeks ago and literally wanted my husband to shoot me lol.  I hate going to the ER but was just about to call 911 when it finally let go.  I don't want to go through that again (it was my fault for having such a fatty meal though)

Well hello!
I had all my tests last week(12/23). I have not heard of any results yet. I had an appt this morning and picked up my Medifast stuff. i have to do that for 2 weeks. Mmmmm!
The sleep study was not too bad. I don't know how it can be accurate though because I felt like I hardly slept. I do not have to go for a second one. Yeah! I also have appt. Friday with Pulmonary(2nd) and PAT's. I thought I had done all the PAT's last week but I guess there is more!
It is going by so fast!
After a few days of Medifast I will probably be miserable!
