Got My Date

Well I have my date and its comming so fast. I have been so sure that this is what I need to do and it is what I want to do but the nerves seem to be taking over. The surgery is scheduled for Jan 12, 2009. Any advice at this point would be great thanks.

I would say keep a positive mind set and dont let anyone rain on your parade. Mine is on Jan 5 so I am just following my induction diet...

I got a date too. You will be leaving as I'm coming in on the 14th. We both have the same Dr. I know just what you mean about the jitters, but I have had other surgeries and I get that feeling then too. I have trying to get the surgery for 3 years, and now that it is almost here, I won't believe it until I am being wheeled into the operating room. But damn, nothing is going to stop me this time, not even myself.

Congratulations to all of you on your upcoming surgeries!! Make sure you have everything you need in the house for when you come home including your vitamins, food, protein supplements, gauze pads and tape (for your incisions), and chewable Gas-X. For the hospital, I recommend some mouthwash, chapstick, and flushable wipes.
