I got my date!*!*!*!

Well Mary at Dr. Sapala's office put in for my approval on friday 12/12 and this morning I got the phone call that I was approved. When I called Mary she stated well actually I was approved since yesterday 12/17 but she was outsick. I can believe it and this is all going to happen on January 5th. I get to begin the new year on a fresh start. I am so excited but now nervous cause all kinds of things are racking my brain. All in all I have a big Kool Aid smile on my face and I cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

congrats You will not regret it at all I dont  am so much happier now.  Wven though I do miss certain foods I am very happy I had the surgery.

Yea when I broke the news to my family ....everyone is now asking me is this what I really want>>>>my answer is HELL YEAH!!!!! ....lol

Congrats!!  The next few weeks will fly by.  I wish a quick and easy recovery!!  remember afterwards to walk, walk, walk and sip tha****er!! You'll do great. Attitude really makes a difference in your outcome, so keep smiling and don't listen to any negativity!! Enjoy your Holiday!

Congrats! What a relief, right? I was so happy, I cried when I found out I was approved! Anyway..you'll be so happy afterward--you're doing a great thing for yourself! Even though your family members might be scared for you or even if they don't understand your decision, don't let it bother you! They will be so glad to see you feeling better (and looking better, too!) that they will then know this was the right thing for you! So kudos to you for your excellent attitude and for putting yourself first--you're going to do great!

I was close to tears when I found out but I was going to see a client so I had to maintain my composure.....My family is super supportive of me...I was just wondering if it was bad to only tell a select few...I wanted to keep others guessing?

Congrats, that is so awesome.  I am scheduled for Jan 7th, so I will say a big prayer for you.  I have done the same thing, I have only told a select few people.  I feel guilty because I have not told me best friend, only because I think she will totally not understand, being heavy herself.  As for things to buy, I was told to get Carnation Instant Breakfast sugar free, as I will be drinking 4 of those a day after day 4 of RNY.  I also purchased flintstones chewable vitamins, Biotin, B12 and Zinc.  The Biotin and zinc are to help prevent some hair loss.  I have my preop tomm, kinda excited, but nervous, I gained 3 lbs (from my period) but I hope that isn't a problem.  Anyway, you go girl, best of luck to you.
