First fill!

Hi all...I had my lap band surgery on Nov 20th and had my first fill yesterday.  I see Dr. Kurian at NYU.  She said I was doing well with my weight loss at 6 lbs in the last 2 weeks.  She wasn't going to do  fill because I am doing well, but asked if I was hungry and as soon as I said that I was starting to get hungry she said then we should fill.  I did have a strange reaction though.  I got dizzy and nauseous after the fill and felt like I needed to throw up, but had an empty stomach thank goodness.  It passed in about 5 minutes and I'm fine since so I have no idea why that happened.  The nurse thought maybe it was the needle, but that really didn't hurt and I self inject meds regularly anyway so am not needle shy.  Anyone else have anything like this happen?

Congrats on your first fill!!!!! I had that happen to me during my first fill but it was because i could actually feel the liquid going into my band. I felt everything and made me a bit dizzy. I dont know why but I know it happens to a lot of people. You shouldnt worry to much.

I had that happen with my last fill (just last wednesday) the dr said it was because of the nerve there on your stomach, the one that tells us when we're full. I don't understand it. But he said that it may or may not happen again. He had me check my sugar which was perfect, so I just went on to drink my water, and go home.
