My Surgery is Tomorrow!!! YaY

Oh I am soooooo excited! Well, I am nervous, too! But, I thought I'd be freaking out a bit more at this point. It's 10 pm and I just stopped drinking as I must be at the hospital at 5:30 am. I am the first case, which is good so I don't get delayed. Anyway...I am just so happy thst this day is finally here. At numerous times, I thought this would never come. I had so many setbacks and so much pain everyday that it was hard to wait it out. But, I guess I am stronger than I thought.

My week of liquids didn't start out too badly. I dealt with it pretty well. Thanksgiving was a little tough. I was strong and resisted stuffing--which was TOUGH. But, I did have a little really well mashed sweet potatoes. It was yumny. But, then my two days of clear liquids was verrrrry difficult. I tried to stay busy, but broth just doesn't stay in your belly long enough! But, I did it!
And, now I am that much closer....only 7ish hours till it all begins! Wish me luck! And, I will talk to you all afterwards! Thanks for all the good wishes--I really appreciate it all!

HOORAY HEATHER!! I know how excited you are! I actually didn't start to feel nervous until I was in the pre-op room waiting for my turn to get wheeled back! I hope that everything goes totally smoothly and is completely uneventful.

Heather - You will be just fine - You have made the decision and now you are about to begin your new life - It will be a whole new experience just as when you start losing all your weight will be, too.  I wish you all the best - Soon you will be on here helping others like us, too.  It takes alot of courage to make a big decision such as this but you made the right one.  Welcome to the loser's bench -it will only get better from here.  Keep us all posted on your progress and again best of luck to you.  Mary (Molly P)
