Bariatrix Supplier (Dr.) in Ballston/Saratoga area, save $'s!

Hello fellow NY'ers, and Happy Thanksgiving to one and all!

Had a wonderful visit with my primary care doctor Wednesday, which isn't to say that's something unusual. Actually, he (Dr. Vincent Meyer) and the physician he runs the clinic with, Dr. Julia Malin, are "one of a kind" physicians with an equally caring and kind staff. When my WLS surgeon dropped the ball one week post surgery concerning a wound infection I was sent home with, it was Dr. Meyer who dropped everything after hours to phone the ER [at a hospital he doesn't even practice in] to give them full information on me, my pain level and what to do. So, not only did I not have to sit and wait in pain, but they knew exactly what needed done as well as had a PA from the surgeon's office there. I could ramble on forever as to how much these people care, but it's not the reason for this post! Saving you guys money is!

Their clinic is one of the only I know of in that area of NY as well as here in Schenectady authorized to carry and sell the yummy Bariatrix products. So, I mentioned reading that review and hearing other OH people talking about a few of the other Bariatrix products and the next thing I knew, Dr. Meyer said "I'll be right back!" He came back in the room, numerous packages in hand, and said "Let's do a taste testing!" Well, of course after an RNY the definition of a "taste testing party" is a but diminished, but it still rocked. I got to try several items, foremost the chocolate "Proti-Squares," which I not only loved but bought (along with a box of vanilla), and a little bit of the ready to drink vanilla protein shakes (Yummo creaminess!). By the time my appointment drew to an end and we went "shopping" in their Bariatrix product room, I bought the two flavors of "Proti-Squares," a box of "Sour Cream and Onion Soy Snacks," and a box of "Caramel Delight Proti-Bars," a delicious crsip snack bar packed with the same 15 grams of protein as each of the other snacks I bought. Probably should have bought more of the "Wildberry Passion Proti-15 Cold Drink" I'd gotten at my last visit. Don't know how they can get 15 grams of protein in such a thirst quenching, tasty drink ... but they do! And it makes great popsicles too.

Okay, so what does this mean for you guys? Well ... Dr. Meyer has graciously offered to let any post WLS patient buy Bariatrix products from his office -- without you needing to be his patient! (Of course if you guys fall in love with Dr. Malin, Dr. Meyer and the staff, it's not my fault! *g*) Not only will you benefit by having a local source for the great tasting Bariatrix products, but you'll save money over any seller found online. Plus, no shipping and handling! Be sure to mention my name to Dr. Meyer (Suzanne Fromtling) and of course as mentioned, this is for post surgical folks only. Enjoy New York!

Thanks for the info! I am a patient of Ellis Bariatrics too! I noticed Dr. Clarke did your surgery. I have Dr. Panemenglore(sp). I am scheduled 1/12. I have yet to start trying some products. I was going to start picking up some this week so this is good to know. It is also closer to me. I am in Wilton.
How expensive are the products in the office?
I will check out reviews too!
