Anyone in Orange County???

I had vsg about 2 weeks ago and I am looking for anyone in the area (pre or post op) who is interested in getting together...support, exercise, whatever.  I had my surgery at West Point, and they have support groups, but the times have been unfortunate for me....Let me know if your out there!

Where is sullivan county?  due north?

I am in Mountain Dale, near Wurtsboro.....about 45-50 mins from Newburgh. Same up here, not many support meetings and the one that is close is for Lapband which might be ok for me but I am not sure since I had the RNY.

Yeah, I had VSG which no one has even heard of, lol...I gave up and just tell people I had bypass when I am not in the mood for big explanations...

If you are ever in the area after work, maybe we could have coffee (or protein shakes) or something..lol, it sucks sometimes feeling like the odd man out  

Yes I have to say I do not know much about the VSG so you can teach me..  LOL

Yeah keep in touch and I would love to get together to have coffee or water...LOL

There is a very good support group that meets in Montgomery on the first and third Thursday of the month.  It is held in the office of a Counseling Center with a person who specializes in eating disorders.  The first Thursday is a full group that is both pre and post-op- I think that start around 6:30 and is free.  The third Thursday meeting is more of a small group for post-ops, and much more in-depth.  That session is $20 and is well worth the time and cost.

Hi there I am Kenny and I had my lap banding on 1/25/06, I could use a support group. I have been with two others but stopped going for varied reasons!
My children live in OC and  I live here in Suffern!  I could make one night or afternoon a week to meet up?????

I don't have to guess about your former support group.... I'm pretty sure I know what happened.
