PJ shopping.. wow
So lately I've been totally freezing at night. I guess it is a pretty normal thing to always feel cold after the surgery (i'm just a few days past 3 months out) this is a sensation I"m really not used to. Normally I'm the one always complaining about how warm it is in the house. Well last night I went out to go find some really warm flannel/fleecy type PJ's. Three months ago I was a tight size 20.. probably even really a 22.
Sure I know I've gone down in sizes, because I'm always heading to the consignment stores to find pants that fit to wear to work.. But it really has never hit me about dropping sizes...
Well anyways, hubby and I went out to the mall last night on a mission to find me something to wear to bed that will keep me warm and from cranky the heat up to 80 degrees.. I immediately headed to the "plus" size and was picking up size 18's and a few "stretchy" material 16's.. My husband is looking at me like I'm crazy when I'm holding them up to me.. asking me why I'm getting something that is obviously not going to fit me. We "fought" about it and I told him I wanted something that wasn't going to be confining or anything like that.. He told me the things I were picking up would just fall off of me. Finally just to make him happy and basically to just get him to stop nagging me I told him to pick out something. We left the store with a pair of thick lined fleece pj's in a size 12/14.. Of course i'm snickering all the way home.. I can't wait to tell him "I told you so" that they wouldn't fit. (I don't do in store dressing rooms, I rather take it home and try it on and take it back if it doesn't fit)...
I get in the house and immediately go and try them on.. I just can't wait to show him how wrong he was.. except well he wasn't wrong at all. They fit very nicely... not at all snug or tight in any way, and not pretty much falling off of me like I just realized most of my other clothes are. Just totally amazed me that I could comfortable wear a 12/14!!!

I soooo know how you feel with the changing of sizes! When going to my daughters play Friday night, it was the first time that most people in town have had a chance to really see me dressed up since surgery. So I did it up a little and hubby was getting frusterated becaused for a change... I actually had choices of what I could wear!
I frequent the local clothing bank in Greene and swap out my clothes making it that much more cost effective. I think I did only spen like 12.00 ish on some pants for myself at a Thrifty Shopper the other day. Howevever.... I forced myself to finally weed out the panty/socks/and bra drawer---- I ended up tossing a whole jampacked grocerybag of too big undergarments. That was rather painful knowing I have to toss out that much $$ out the door. (but those are things you just do NOT share LOL)
Pj's.. well they are another story. I am still wearing my too big ones and they are beginning to get pretty annoying to me because they are so big the legs creep up beyond my thighs when I move around at night. I get tangled up in the tops because they are too big. drives me crazy I swear but they are so comfy I hate to part with them.
It does feel good to be a big Loser though doesnt it?
