Hello there hun ~Hugs~
Sorry to hear about your hubby but glad you took that control and got out! GOOD for you!!!!!

Take a look around the internet, looking for healthy food choices. It really helped me to get back on track and reading around the forums here also helps to see what others are eating. I just purchased things like:

Cottage Cheese
String cheese
Protein Shakes (with carb control)
Fruits
Veggies
Tuna with light mayo
Salad mixings....
ect......

About your pic, you have to click on the left under User Settings and pic a new Avatar from a pic  that is on your computer but it has to be resized to fit. If you have a pic you can email at: [email protected] and I will resize it that it shoul fit!

Hun I will email the 3 pics back to you so you can change them out from time to time.  You are very welcome hun....~hugs~

I would pick the leaner meats like Chicken and ground turkey is great! Hubby and I make turkey burgers, grill them mixed with chopped onion and garlic, SOOOO GOOD! I also eat prk chops and only once in a while beef. I also make Barilla plus (whole wheat) angel hair pasta with a light sauce. If you like fish that is always good, we get fresh salmon when we have a little extra money. Tuna is always good and we have these individual wrapped packaged flounder fillet from Sams Club (frozen)

I love doing the roll ups with lunchen meats but you have to watch because they are so loaded with sodium and you can over eat that way so be careful when you get that...

I get the pre packed greens mixed but not the iceburg one since there is no value in that lettuce, I get the romain and spinch one. I love getting those laughing cow light cheese and take a piece of celery, putting the cheese spread in the center of the celery stalk.

I hope that helps some.....good luck and post often so we can support each other.
~hugs~

Anita,
Maybe even talk to your Dr and see who he recommends you talk to about an eating plan that will work for you? Sounds like your on your way!

You would have to try the flounder, it is very mild and my hubby bakes it in a pan with a LITTLE oil and garlic. It is so thin that it is cooked quickly, mixed with a veggie it is a great meal...

Yeah the turkey and ham is good, jus****ch eating to much with the salt but I love them myself!

Have a great day!
~Hugs~
