Ok....that didn't work.

Does anyone have a "magic" recipe for making protien shakes without the foam? I got me a silver bullet....oh....wait...wrong story. I have a MAGIC BULLET type contraption...I also have a blender. I have some skim milk. I have protien powder. How do I make the shakes with out that annoying vomit inducing foam?

That I believe is the million dollar question!!!   I would love to know the answer to that as well.  I get up about 7am.. first thing I do is go down and make my shake, set it in the frige till i'm ready for it.. usually when I'm heading out the door to work around 8:30.. usually by then the foam is gone, but it does leave that gross looking ring of stuff around the thermos container thing I use.. GROSS!

I found that it made less foam if you used a shaker cup instead of the magic bullet. The bullet seems to whip it up too much and, therefore, makes a lot of foam.
Good luck!

I agree with Lisa. I have a gravy shaker cup that I make my protein shake in and don't have the foam. I actually have tried to make them in the blender and don't like the taste or texture of the shake. Hope this helps.

Hey Tim.... How RU doing... give me a call sometime to catch up... Starting Monday I'll be working from home so I'll have to PM you my new 'in touch' ##...

I used the super cheap $10 stick blender from Walmart and no foam at all. The foam is simply caused from excess air being mixed in. Give that a try, try doing the shake shake shake in a blender cup (today on Bariatric Eating you get one FREE with the purchase of protein.. I don't remember how much you have to buy though so go check it out.. www.bariatriceating.com) ....

Good Luck..

I found that making the shake ahead of time and placing in the refrigerator for a few hours solved the dreaded foam yuks! Wierd I thought the foam problem was just in my head. Guess i should read these forums more often. Good luck with your weight loss!
