Acceptance without disappointment

Some people, heading in to the WLS have an unrealistic goal that they are going to lose a huge amount of weight. Realistically, you may not.

Me, I have lost weight, but I have come to a stall. mostly because I am off track. I am drinking in too many calories, grazing, and not able to get in enough protien. I have been fighting the carb craze. I am finding myself evading the ramifications and rules of the pouch. I have all but self destructed. Fact is, the honeymoon is over. Time to get back to the basics. Time to WORK.

having said that, I may not lose more than 50 more lbs. If this is true, others may see me as a failure. I am not. I am grateful for EVERY pound lost...and every bit of my mobility, health, and habits gained.

Re-evaluate your idea of what success is. I have, and I have found liberty...freedom....thankfulness.

I have trouble finding my blog. As far as pics go....blah. I look the same as I did back in June.

I need to get back to the stupid gym. I need to prioritize. I need to get back to portion sizes...I need to get out of my "depression" mindset about my legs. I need to drink more water. I need to focus on trying the protien shakes again....so I am not getting into the habit of eating for the sake of eating and not getting protien in.

I need HEEEEEELLLLLLPPP!!!!!!!

I know OH can be confusing at times, for myself if I am logged in I can go to any page there is a pull down tab 'states open my OH' (brown/tan color) when I pull it down I click my profile, then under my blog it says add a post, this is your profile site:

*I see you found it yesterday!*
Photos for myself I ypload not to see difference just to keep updated, blah may be your state of mind overall with yourself? hummmmmmmmmm?

I read and hear all the I NEEDS, we all KNOW what we NEED to do, doing it is a completely different thing.

I guess when I am committed to change I make statements such as:

"Today I will go to the gym, Today I will drink 8 cups water, Today I will try one protein shake, today I wall noe eat minlessly or today I will review these eating guidelines and pick one to follow, today I will get in 60 grams protein, today I will ask one person for help in meting one of these goals or today I will make a call to a/my therapist to get an appointment, or today I will seek out a group formy depression/overeating etc...

You can do any one of these things one at a time all together they can be overwhelming and then nothing happens.........

Ay EATING GUIDELINES

(*To avoid emotional or unconscious eating)

1. Eat when you are hungry

2. Eat sitting down in a calm environment *NOT THE CAR!

3. Eat w/o distractions, including radio, TV, newspapers, books, magazines, intense anxiety producing conversations or music.

4. Eat only what your body wants.

5. Eat until satisfied.

6. Eat (with the intention of being) in full view of others.

7. Eat with enjoyment, gusto and pleasure.
