Help from Synergy people

Hi have a question for anyone who is or had gastric bypass Synergy and DR Caruana how long after your insurance approves does it take to have an a date for surgery .the date for surgery itself

I had my initial consultation w/ Dr. C on 8/7/08.  I was approved by my ins w/n 2 weeks (happened to call IH a week after my consultation and they never even received my paperwork...).  Although I was approved Synergy will not schedule your surgery until your ins co. pays for the initial visit.  So they called me on 9/8 and my surgery date was 10/8.  Hope this info helps!  Good Luck.

TY I seen the DR and insurance paid no problem but my insurance is changing in jan so just want to know because of that

After I got my approval for surgery...the first date open for me was about 4 weeks... It is usually pretty quick.  My first consultation with the Dr was the first week in Feb and my surgery was 5/10.  Good luck...let us know.

I got the call that I had been approved while I was on vacation, the last week of August, and they offered me a date at the end of October.  I actually took the November 5th date because I wanted to be able to take my son trick or treating on Halloween.  So it was just about 2 months from approval to surgery date.

 Not really much to add. Like everyone says, its pretty quick! Congrats on your journey. I had Dr C in May of 2007. My daughter had hers on July 30th of this year and my wife had her's Sept 16th. Couldn't get the cheap ******* to give us a family rate though! Just joking, he's great. I'm in Buffalo (Riverside section) in case you need any support. Let me know when you get a date. You didn't say what the insurance had approved, the surgery itself or just the inital consult. If you've already had your inital consult, your paperwork is in etc., keep on Deanne. She's a sweetheart but she needs a little push to move things along. Keep in touch!
