Approved w/ Viglianco and I'm a lightweight!!!

Today Independent Health approved me for my lap band with Synergy bariatrics.
I was very nervous due to having a BMI under 40 with only sleep apnea as my co-morbidity.
I cannot wait to hear when my surgery will be!!

I start the pre-op diet Friday.

Congrats on getting your date!!  YOur 4 days after me -- I'm with Caruana, though. Good luck!!!  You know, my BMI was under 40 as well with just sleep apnea as a co morb -- but with my family history, I think that's why I had no problems being approved.

I was consider a lightweight too!   242   39.8 bmi but with hypertension, sleep apnea, and depression.   Family history of heart conditions and diabetes was also a factor of why I wanted and needed to have this surgery. 

Thanks everyone! It really is possible to get approved. It just never seems like the day will ever get there!

I cannot wait for this. I am even excited to start the pre-op diet b/c then I know I am really close!!
