Hi everyone, I am three days before surgery, and I am starting to freakout! All I can think of is what am I thinking and will I ever be the same. I have been so confident and sure of myself up until this morning. am I normal?

Yup it's completely normal to have these feeling as your big day gets closer.  Some ppl will even contemplate cancelling the surgery, and I'm sure most of us had doubts about what we were about to do.  I know I had the same thoughts, and now more than 10 months out, I couldn't be happier that I had the surgery.  So much has changed for the better.
Good luck and try to stay as calm as you can.

Buyers remorse is a normal feeling, just remember you know where you are heading if you dont make a change. Just have faith and things will turn out for the best !  Good Luck !

You are right, you will never be the same after your surgery, as long as you use this tool to help you develop new eating and exercise habits.  I always felt happy prior to my surgery, but I am so much happier with myself since my surgery.  I am very close to achieving my goal, a goal I have worked very hard for, with many hours spent exercising.

Getting used to what to eat is difficult at first, but then it becomes second nature to figure out where to get the low fat and carb opions with high protein.  Just remember that when you need encouragement we are here for you.

Just wanted to say good luck with everything.  I hope all goes well for you.  My surgery is October 6th and I'm getting excited, but am nervous a little too.  Hang in there.  You'll be so glad you did it....that's what everyone tells me.  Take care.

I can totally understand where you are coming from.  I'm feeling the exact same way.  My surgery is with Dr. Clarke on Tuesday.  I was debating on whether on wanted to go to work on Monday to try to keep my mind off of things, but when I left my office today everyone was so supportive and encouraging, it gave me the strength that I needed.  ...  Just think, next week at this time we will be home and it will be all over and we will be giving advise to others.  ...  Please feel free to write and maybe I'll see you in the hospital.
