ellis hospital people

On 8/28 i finally went to the orientation at ellis hospital.. I had to wait 2 months because all the classes were filled! well.. its been 2 weeks since then. i was just wondering when you got called back from them?? .. im getting extremely anxious, I want to get the ball rolling on everything! I also found out that there is a good chance my job is going to be laying off a good amount of people and i hope i'm not one of them since i need that insurance for this surgery!!! so, i possibly might be running out of time.. so if anyone has been through ellis, let me know any info! thanks guys!

Hi. I went to class a few months back and it was just a Little over 2 weeks before they called me. My brother in law however went to the class in July and waited a while longer i believe it was a little over 3 weeks. He went to the orientation in July ans his Dr appt is September 29. It does take time but everything moves as quick as possible. Be patient  that is probably my number one piece of advice. My surgery is in less than 2 weeks and i cant believe it! There are so many steps to take and often many hurdles to jump but its all for a reason and it allows you time to do some soul searching.

I think it was 2 to 3 weeks before my wife & I heard were callled by the office to set up an appointment.  Don't worry they will get in touch with you and walk you through the entire process.

The waiting seems to take forever.. I think I waited almost 3 weeks..

I waited between 2 - 3 weeks, which seemed like forever. i went to the seminar September 11th and my appointments with the Dr. was the middle of October. The waiting is not easy and hard but sooo worth it in the end.

thanks everyone!... i was called today from the bariatric center to set up an appointment! so i see dr clark on oct 2nd! so excited to get this moving!!!

Heather - Congrats!!!! Dr Clarke rocks (ok, I am biased!!)!! You will see now the time will fly by like crazy!!!! Ask lots of questions & you should be fine!!!

Hey!  I was at the same info session at Ellis on that day! It was resceduled from 8/7. I got a phone call on my voice mail late today. I am calling them tomorrow. I am soooo excited! I haven't called my insurance company yet though. I am hoping things will move fast and surgery will be soon!

I am sure we will be chatting again!
