New Suffolk County NY WLS Support group forming!

HI Everyone,

WE are soooo excited to tell you that 2 obesityhelp.com friends are going to be forming a suffolk WLS support group in the next month or so.  We will be meeting somewhere between Patchogue and Bay Shore and will be updating that information as we can.  We will be offering a closer support group for the many of us who have to travel far to our Dr's support groups.  We are not replacing that support group but offering additional support.  If you are interested please let us know, make sure you add yourself as my friend and watch for my blog postings.  We hope to see everyone there.  And we can't wait. Wishing you the best of luck.  I have a support group here in Suffolk County as well.  It is a huge success and I love running it.  Please keep me posted, as I'd love to learn more about you and your group and even be a member.  One can NEVER have too much support, right?

Thank you!  Yes, this is something I have wanted to do for a long time now.  I look forward to running it and helping others in a way I feel I could have used more help. 

Looking forward to checking it out. I'm tired of seeing the same people everywhere I go and was hoping to find some place where I could see some new faces for a change!  None of the other support groups in Suffolk County have worked out for me.  Many do not maintain confidentiality and are too full of themselves.  Others repeat the same routine month after month and I don't want to hear anyone's history, would prefer to discuss WLS issues.  Keep me posted.

Why have none worked out for you?
Have you ever examined yourself?
I'm an avid meeting attender, and when I see the same one person having issue with every group, it's themselves they should be pointing at -  NOT at the group.

Perhaps you should seek out a more individual, one on one type of support? Are you in counseling? It might be to your advantage.

Oh contrare!!  I KNOW FOR A FACT that it is not ME and that is why dozens of people have stopped going to support meetings BECAUSE these meetings are too routine and do not discuss issues, only the same old same old...WHEN they had surgery, HOW much weight they lost...etc etc...after 2 years post op, who the f*ck cares anymore in a history lesson???  NOBODY!! 

It's people like you I am trying to stay away from.  Keep going to the history classes, I can see how they are helping you.

I also am into privacy and had my picture posted without consent on websites from groups who claim that "what is shared here stays here"....BULLSH*T!!

I don't think we've ever met, and quite honestly, I avoid people like you in my life, always trying to bring others down and constantly complaining about something or another.....
so not cool! 

I would bet a million dollars that you do not have a spouse or significant other (and probably never have) gee I wonder why?,
you seem like the type that can NEVER TRULY be happy.....how very very sad for you! 

You are a true complainer and so not meant to be here on this forum . 
Perhaps you should try the "RANTS & RAVE" Forum....I'm sure you will enjoy that atmosphere much better, infact, I believe you will fit "right in"!
