I thought I would take the time to put a short post on here for those of you who had been following the posts about my brother in law.    I have to report that he passed away this past Wednesday afternoon.   He was doing really well up until this past weekend and he had a very bad night Tuesday night and they moved him to the Hospice facility in Cheektowaga at noon on Wed and he never regained consciousness.   He had asked my sister if my kids and I could come and see him before he passed and he was alert that morning and knew that we were on our way up there in the afternoon.   We got there along with many other family members and he passed away very peacefully about 30 min after our arrival.  We got a chance to tell him how much we loved him and to say our good bye.

My sister had the surgery with Dr. C this past January and has done very well.  Of course she is scared of being alone so much now and not having him to care for anymore and how she will fill her time.  Please pray for her and her children.   She has been extremely remarkable through this whole ordeal.  I am not sure I could have kept it together as well as she has.   She knows that Earl is in a better place now and is free of the pain he had so much of the last few months.   Thank you for all of those out there who have asked and shown such wonderful concern for my sister and my family.  You are all an incredible group of caring people.  I am truly blessed.

Sally,
I am so sorry to hear this sad news. You and your family will definitely remain in my prayers. I know your sister will be grateful to have you to help her along during this very sad and difficult time.
I remember your brother-in-law encouraging your sister to go through with her surgery, even though he was facing an uncertain future. That illustrates his love for her and his hope that she will carry on and lead a full, healthy life.
May God Bless All of You --
Maria

I am so sorry to hear of your family's loss of a loved one.   It was nice knowing that you did make it to the Hospice Center before his passing on, and that you were able to say your good byes and show of love to him also.
I hope that your sister will be doing well in time, and that she will be able to enjoy life again to the fullest.  She should remember that his support in her having the WLS will make things go more smoothly in the near future for her.

   My Condolences and deepest sympathy.

Anne
