2 weeks post op
Day 1 of two-week liquid 252.4
Day of surgery 241.0 (-11.4 on two week liquid)
Week one 234.6 (-6.4)
Today 227.6 (-7)
Total 24.8
So basically 25 pounds in the last month. I'll take it!
I think I can say I feel 98 percent back to normal. Very minimal if any pain. I even spent 7.5 hours walking around at the state fair yesterday and didn't have any problems at all.
I was a little worried about letting myself get dehydrated, but I was extra cautious about sipping as much as possible. I have to say I got a little sick feeling at one point, but honestly I think it was the "smell" of all those fried foods floating in the air. Just the smell of them made me sick. Of course hubby and the three kids had a hay day eatting all that fair food, but I came prepared with some protein powder, some sugar free pudding, and a string cheese. I ventured and gave it a try the day before to see how it would set.. I chew it to mush and it actually sat very nicely in the pouch. I knew we would be spending pretty much the entire day out and I knew I would need something that was "portable". It just seemed like the most reasonable thing to take, even though it's not on my to eat list for another week... bad bad I know.
I could have very easily went back to work today which was my plan, but I actually ended up telling my doctor I was wanting to go back after labor day. Since the kids start school on Wednesday the 3rd and that way I wouldn't have to worry about paying daycare for this week. So I have my 3 week appointment next wednesday and the Dr. will write me a note to return back to work Thursday. Honestly I'm a little anxious to get back there. I know there will be a MAJOR mess waiting for me, but I'm crossing my fingers it will not be too bad. Working in the corporate office of a local bank, my biggest concern is going to be my wardrobe. Even though I haven't really tried anything on, I'm pretty sure that most of my things are going to be looking pretty baggy and saggy :( especially that I still have over a week before going back there. I think I'm going to have to spend the weekend hitting up a few of the second hand stores or something. I think trying to stay decently dressed for work is going to be one of my biggest problems over the next couple of months.

You are doing great! I bought a couple of cheap outfits to wear to work at first. It does get expensive to dress. I was also lucky because I retired about 60 days after my surgery so I didn't have to worry constantly about clothes. I went back to work this spring and had to buy a whole new set of clothes. It was fun...but, it wasn't cheap...all new clothes, underwear, etc. Keep up the good work...its a great journey...and keep a journal..I didn't and I'm sorry.
