Hi. this may sound silly But im 4 weeks out from my surgery date. I have gone to all my appointments as scheduled and next Tuesday  i am scheduled to start Medifast. I am howevr a little concerned. I havent heard one word from the doctors office. My friend who is also getting ready for her surgery seems to hear from them all the time. Insurance problems, EKG issue you name it. I keep telling my self no news is good news and i certainly dont want to call for no reason but i am a little worried . Maybe they forgot about me? I know this is silly but has anyone else who went throught Ellis had such little contact?

If you feel concerned you should call the office. If there were ANY problems, they would have called you!

I did! lol, I did not have much contact with them either. Once I started Medifast and going to be weighed in each week it was different. Appartently there was no problems with any of your testing because they would have called (I am sure). Put your mind at ease and call tomorrow and be sure everything is all on track. This is an exciting time, enjoy it!

Good luck with the Medifast, the first couple days are the toughest.

Good luck!

Hello:
If you are concerned call the office. You are the customer and if you have questions you are entitled to a response. A simple call to check in stating you wanted to inquire into the final process and what to expect at this staage, that you are starting Medifast for 4 weeks and where do you go from there before your surgery date of X....Write up your ??? ahead so when you get on phone you do not get flustereed, anxious or sidetracked.
Being a consumer of our own healthcare is not silly, crazy or stupid it is the best thing we can do for ourselves and we DESERVE IT! Be well......

Paula had set me up for all my testing and she passes the test results on to your MD to look over.  Don't worry, once you start Medifast, you will be in very close contact with everyone there.  Paula did her job very well and made sure that all I had to do was show up for my appointments and make sure I was ready for my surgery.

good luck

They usually dont submit untill like 2 weeks before and they hear in like 3 days, that is what paula told me...i was denied the first time three days before my surgery, but my mom was approved a week before her date...if they think there will be a problem, they will submit earlier... good luck!

I can tell you that I never heard a thing while I was going through the process. I got my list of appts, started my medifast & only heard from them when my ultrasound showed that my spleen was enlarged & then I had more appts to go to. I just figured, right or wrong, that if something were wrong they'd tell me. I saw Chris once a week for 12 weeks so they knew where to find me!! Things were a little crazy there at that time too... Dr Lirio was retiring so everything was nutso!! Hang in there!! Just ask them & they will tell you whatever you want to know!!

Good luck!!
