Hi Janice,
I was 5 weeks out yesterday.  I am eating lots more than you are.  In addition to soups and yogurt, I have eaten chicken, eggs, ham, peanut butter on wheat crackers (only 3), cottage cheese, string cheese, riccotta cheese, tomato sauce, shaved ham rolled up in a slice of provolone cheese (love my cheese), sf fudgesicles, soft cooked vegetables, canned peaches, mashed potatoes, tuna, salmon, trout, meatloaf, and chili.  Of course, I only eat about 2-3 oz at my meals.  I really think it all depends on how your pouch feels about adding more food.  I was ready to start real food after about 2 weeks out.  I've been adding new foods very slowly, but I do have quite a list going now.  My nut told me not to eat soft bread (toasted is ok) and wait awhile to start raw vegetables and fruits.  Other than that, I'm good to go.  Good luck!

Keep the faith...it takes time.  After a few weeks you should be able to tolerate more solid foods.  My doctor gave me a schedule to use to increase my variety.  Good luck...you'll make it!

Good morning,
I am seven weeks out this morning and I think what you can eat is really dictated by what your stomach can handle.  Personally, I am having trouble with lots of foods.  I saw the Dr. Wednesday and he said just take it slow and keep trying.  Currently I have my protein shake for breakfast, a weigh****chers string cheese for snack, yogart for lunch and then I experiment for dinner. I can tolerate; shrimp, scallops, healthy choice soups, cottage cheese, fat free refried beens with some low cal cheese, black bean burgers, protein bars, and I did have two small salads this week!!  I can not tolerate eggs, chicken, pork or beef yet.

I have talked to other people who are not as far out as I am and eating lots more variety but it will get there and my progress has been excellent, I am down 62 lbs!!!
