The Mysterious Disappearance of Dr. Moon (Arnot/Elmira)
Tonight at the support group for the Arnot patients, they announced that Dr. Moon has left the practice. No warning, no letters, no phone calls. It was sudden and unexpected and they cannot talk about why he left.
People were STUNNED. Dr. Moon was very well loved and respected and we are all just reeling from this news.
People who were pre-op are now going to have to switch doctors, or even practices.
Does anyone know anything about what happened?
He will be greatly missed and if he's going to be anywhere in the vicinity of the Southern Tier or upstate NY there are people who would be willing to follow him where ever he goes.

Beth, I am sorry this has happened to you. I can say from my experience with Arnot I have not had anything negative come about with having Dr Cole as a Surgeon. Of course he strictly does the open RNY procedure. I know it is hard to switch once you have become comfortable with a certain physician.

Dr. Moon sent letters to his patients. I got one. It said that it wasn't his choice to leave like this and that his main concern is for our continued care. I sent him a card back telling him that I'd like to know where he ends up. If it's anywhere I can travel to withing a reasonable time, I will go to him for my future care. He's that wonderful. I will miss him very much if he leaves this area all together.
Whatever happened, Arnot is now minus a wonderful and gifted surgeon.
