i went to the walmart bp taker thingi, 2 months ago i couldnt fit my arm through. yesterday it went in to the upper arm.. yay!!! but i still cant fit into my fat jeans :-(

yes i am fat and i have fatter jeans lol, and i cant get into anyone of them.. (sarcastic and humourless laughter)

All we can do is exercise (wt train and cardio) as able in an ever increasing capacity most days of the week, get in our fluids (water) 8 cups at least, and take in as much high quality protein as possible to not lose lean muscle mass.............the rest is gnetics and up to how fast we lose. OMG.. I bet my bat arms are worse than yours, lol...mine are TERRIBLE.  I just want to cut it off.  It is really really loose skin.  My arms were so huge...and it is funny I cried when my are fit into the thing at walmart :) .  I always had to take my pressure on the lower arm, and use the large cuff...but the normal fits now, even tho the skin sags so much.  That is the thing that I hate the most , my arms.... UGH!!!

Ha!  Jim.  Your message is too funny!  Sometime next year, if the contest is still going on, I'd love to be a participant!  LOL  I'm still laughing!

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself.  The name is Nicole.  I just joined today.  Hopefully, I'll be having my surgery sometime in September.  Originally, my intent was the have the Lap Band put in place, due to it being a less evasive surgery, but I have just recently changed my mind.  I'd really hate to make such life altering decision only to have it not work for me.  Additionally, I have 4 friends who have had wonderful experiences with the surgery.  My mother has had it, as well.  Her surgery was done three years ago and having her as a motivator has helped me change my mind and will also help me through this process.  I'll be in touch with more on the actual surgery as I find it all out.

Oh!  Here is a question - For those of you who were actually cut down the middle and did not have laparoscopic surgery, how was it when you first got home?  I'm speaking in terms of getting around the house, bathing, preparing your liquids and so on?  I'm trying to decide if I should come home, where my boyfriend works during the day or whether I should go and stay with my parents, where my father is retired and can tend to me if need be.
