NYU Dr. Ren/Horizon Bc/Bs

Has anyone had their sugery with Dr. Ren at NYU?  Any thoughts?  What did you have to drink for the 2 weeks prioe to surgery?  I have my Nutritionist and H&P on Aug 14th.  Also, anyone have Horizon?  How was the approval process?

I loved Dr. Ren, but her office staff left much to be desired. I think sometimes they are too busy and it is too much for the staff to handle.

That being said, I felt very safe in Dr. Ren's hands. She is a very skilled surgeon and was very professional in all of our interactions.

I can not comment on the insurance approval process as I have Cigna.

NYU was one of the practices I met with and well to put it lightly I wouldn't let them remove an ingrown toenail.
I did however meet Dr Ren she's wonderful but I've ordered everyone I know to never ever under any cir****tance send me to NYU for anything.

i had surgery w/her husband dr. fielding 2/17/2007 - ren has a great reputation. my experience 2 this day with everyone in that office has been just great and nyu was a great hospital and every so gracious about it all.  good luck  2 week prior to surgery u can drink 4 - 6 slim fasts or some other types of protein drinks
