Noob here
Hello All,
My name is Todd and I recently found out about this forum through a co-worker. I had gastric bypass surgery on Feb 15, 2008 and currently have lost 115lbs. I live on long island in suffolk county (islip). So far things are getting better each day. Ive been goin to the gym 4 days a week doing cardio and strength training. I can tolerate almost all foods and drinks (no alcohol, or soda) and no bread. If I do eat bread its usually a small amount of whole weat.
My wieght loss has slowed down since the beginning..I average 2-3 pounds a week now and my first blood labs are this friday. Im taking my vitamins daily (mulitvitamin,calcium,b1,b12)
I started at 405lbs 6x shirt 54 waist and I am currently at a 2x shirt 40 waist. I want to get down another 40-60 lbs, still got some lovely love handles and man boobs left :)
I look forward to learning from you and posting my before and after pictures soon
take care

Hi Todd and welcome! This is a great place with alot of great people on it. Many have had surgery or are contemplating it and there is alot of information on here. So don't be afraid to ask questions! Congratulations on your success-it sounds like you are doing everything right. I will be having surgery (RNY open) soon myself and look forward to being able to do things that just aren't possible for me to do now. I am at around #378 - I had friends who lived on L.I. so I am familiar with some of the area(s) from Shirley, to Central Islip, New Suffolk (way out) and Northport and Greenport, etc. I have not been back in almost 30 years now so I know it has changed a great deal out there. Anyway, Todd, welcome, post often, and keep up with your good work and exercise which is critical (I think) to our successes! Take care, Mary (Molly P.)
