Sucess???

Ok, it's been 10 weeks I've been on this torture diet.

For those who are not aware, or may have forgotten, one of the docs I've been seeing put me on a VERY restrictive diet.  The diet is one HALF cup of food, per meal, 3 meals a day, no snacking.

Well, I have lost 50 pounds with this diet.  I know every pound I lose makes my surgical risk lessen.

While it's a sucess, and we ALWAYS need to celebrate our successes, It's also a melancholy acheivement because of the physical pain I am in all day long (except when I eat and an hour afterwards).

But 50 pounds is nothing to sneeze at either!

This is WITHOUT the surgery

Hi DonBab:
First of all congratulations on the 50# loss! That in inself is quite an accomplishment.  I have been in my doctor's program since late Oct./early Nov. and thus far, have lost a total of.... are you ready?.... 22#!!  It has been quite a struggle thru the winter  to even maintain that, believe me so  pat yourself on the back for that 50#'s!!
I am sorry to hear that you have been in pain-Is it actual hunger pains? or some other sort of pain due to not eating and having an almost empty stomach (like GERD or something?)  If so, maybe one of the doc's could prescribe something to help with it-I know you have other concerns, too, but it never hurts to ask!!
Celebrate your 50#'s - buy something special for you.  You deserve it and have earned it.  In the meantime, take care, keep on being as focused as you seem to be and best of luck to you.  Mary (Molly P)
