Hi, I have heard great things about Dr. Singh. I have Dr. Dunnican who studied under Dr. Singh. Hmmm, the worst thing I've heard about Dr. Singh is that he can be tough. He wants you to succeed. He doesn't want you thinking this is the easy way out. We all know that it isn't easy in any way shape or form. He wants to be sure you understand what you are signing on for and that you don't regret the decision later.
I go to support group every chance I get and his patients who have had the surgery LOVE LOVE LOVE him.
I have Dr. Dunnican because that's who I was able to get an appointment with. I LOVE him. This doesn't mean he'll be the one to do my surgery. I'll still get to meet with Dr. Singh & Dr. Rosati and make that decision later, from what I understand, and I could be wrong in that. From what I have been told, they work as a team and if 1 isn't right for a patient, you can try another. We all know that everyone doesn't hit it off all the time. Some people will rave about how great a doctor is and someone else won't like them for some reason. That's the way it is with everyone in our lives, not just doctors.
I agree with Amy, have your sister make an appointment to see Dr. Singh and she can form her own opinion of him.
Dr. Singh is doing my laproscopic RNY this Wednesday. I have all the confidence in the world in his abilities. He is really very nice and answers all my questions. I have never felt rushed during any of my appointments (like some Drs. make me feel). Although I haven't had my surgery yet (48 hrs and counting down), I highly recommend him. I am happy with his whole team. Hope this helps!
