Nanette... those of us who have gone through Ellis's program have all used the Medifast so please take what we say to heart...

As hard as it is (and I'm not pointing fingers or making accusations in any way shape or form this is from my own personal experience..

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT CHEAT on the Medifast.

Medifast by it's own design will allow you to loose the weight you need to. Dr. I's nurses know exactly how much weight you should loose within a certain amount of time. But the only things that can cross your lips are the Medifast shakes, water and tea..

I did the shakes for 50 days (not like I was counting) and you just need to stay focused on the light at the end of the tunnel. You're probably going to be hungry so get yourself a glass of water or tea and just keep telling yourself that this too will end soon... Because it will..

Good luck and keep us posted !!!

Hello!   was it Chris who told you that?  She said that to me...devistated me to pieces.  I had lost 27 lbs prior to my surgery, and it got postponed due to insurance, I was so upset and went to a depression, my surgery was postponed for 2 months while insurance was getting approved...in that 2 months I ganed almost 17 lbs back.  Chris was so pissed at me, I could tell.  I really didnt like the way she talked to me, so prior to the surgery I went to see the doc..cause she said he would not do it.  I saw Dr Clarke..and I explained to him what happened...Also my friend was only loosing like 2-5 lbs a week and Chris told her her surgery would be canxld..but the Dr said she is loosing and that is all that matters, she had her surgery too.(she had lost slmost what he wanted her to loose) That being said, Medifast is the hardest thing I have ever done...I did have to stop that due to a soy allergy, and go on slimfast, which was harder...but so worth it.  You can do it...and were all here to support you.  But please talk to the doctor.  Also if you get hungry and need to eat, try some broth, put it in a bowl and eat it with a small spoon...Anne had me do that and it really did help.  It is so hard, but we know what your going through.  Good luck, and if you need to chat, drop me a line!!!
