new with lots of questions! (lonnnngggg)

I am a student at Buffalo State College...  I recently sent my paperwork to Synergy Bariatrics, in hopes to set a date for an initial consult with Dr. Viglianco, who (if I researched correctly) preforms laproscopic surgeries.  I was dead set on getting the lap band procedure but the more I am researching it, especially now that classes are done for a few months, I think I would be a better fit for the LAP RNY.   I think I have all of the things in order... such as paperwork, which I printed out and sent back to Synergy, my PCP has a letter of recommendation, my weight loss history for 5 years, my exercise program release and my recent TSH blood work ready to send to Synergy.  I just scheduled a psych evaluation with Dr. L and my apt is in the beginning of July and I e-mailed Lisa at Synergy to see if I could attend the Tuesday group support session in July as well.  I really want to call Synergy and see if it would be possible to set up my initial consult on or around the same day as my psych eval.  I am scared to call because it seems like they are on a "we will call you" basis from what I have read in the forums!

I was wondering if anyone here has seen Dr. Viglianco since he joined Synergy?  Also, does he preform the RNY laproscopically or only do lap bands?

Second, I have independent health, from what I hear, they seem to be quick with approvals but I don't want to get my hopes up!

Third, (yes, you can stop reading, I know I ask a million questions and talk for hours!)  Is it okay to call about scheduling my consult seeing that I have almost everything in place already?

Fourth, how fast is the surgery set in motion?  I know I am probably being naive and I should have started this process sooner, but I was hoping to get the surgery before classes started so I wouldn't miss any school.  This would give me a time frame of the beginning of July when my psych consult is until the end of August.

Fifth, if anyone is still listening, I would really really really appreciated ANY comments or answers!  I have searched up to page 79 or so in the NY Forums for anything and everything concerning Synergy, etc... then I finally broke down and joined... I think this is an amazing resource!!!
