Hello Debra, how nice to see your smiling face.   Happy 3-year anniversary.  You were one of the first people I met on this board; an inspiration then and an inspiration now. Lots of people (like me in the past) will experience a set-back and go hide out; you're not one of those people, and you've shown me that it's far better to share our experiences-- the good, the bad and everything in between! hugs,

Karen, Thanks for your sweet words hun ~Hugs~  I do my share of hiding out that is for sure, sometimes I feel I can not positive when I am going through much of the same things but now I can to know that is when we need the support even more.  I just so wanted to be "normal" and not have to deal with these food issues anymore but now I know I HAVE to live with this for the rest of my life, just like any addict! Sometimes it gets hard and I get so tired of this constant battle, yeah know!  Thanks for your post hun! ~hugs~

Debra, Congrats on 3 yrs!! That is so amazing!!!! I am creeping up on 8 months (tomorrow, I think) & I can't believe it's all real!! I am actually believing that this is it... it's going to work this time... no "other shoe" is going to drop!!! A size 12 (or dare I say a size 10) is attainable!! I'm gonna make it!!! Imagine that!!!  Everything is going well. I am over the dehydration, thank god & am doing really well!! I did gain back a few of the lbs I lost when I was sick but that was to be expected - overall I am still down about 155lbs - I'll take it!!! I took a big step for me the other night!! Tues was my hair appt & I chopped 3 inches off!! Went back to my natural color & had her change the style... a lot!!! I love it!! It makes my face look so different but in a good way!!! I figured it was time!! I don't have that feeling that my face/head is so huge that I have to hide it with all of the hair anymore (yeah, I know but it's what I saw when I pulled my hair back)!! I am thrilled I made the decision!! I will have new pics posted soon & with any luck I will actually get one for my avatar (Amy will be pleased!!)!!  Everyone take care!! Cece

Cece, Yes you will make it hun and it sure feels great doesn't it.  CONGRATS!!! WOW 8 months already, time sure flies. I had to put my 12's back in the closet this year but I will get there again I am sure.  I am back into an XL or 14-16   I can not believe the 30 lbs could change my sizes that much but I guess it sure does. Also because I stopped working out it does not help either.  I can not wait to see you, we have chatted but still I am not sure what you look like. I love changing my hair and color all the time. ~lol~ Well take care and thanks for posting... ~hugs~

You'll be back into those 12s in no time!! I am rooting for ya!!! I know what you mean about the 30lbs!! Who'd have thunk it?? Damn 30lbs!! I do have some pics posted on my profile but nothing that I really like enough to use as my "window to the world"!! I should have taken one yesterday - I loved the way my hair looked & I had on my new fav red top!! I'll have to work on that one this week cus I am sure I'll wear it again!!! I am not as brave with hair color as some people - I stick with brown or a version of it but I have decided to stick with my natural color w/a bit of umph from the salon - I feel it suits me best!!!  Good luck on getting back into those 12s!! You can do it!!! Have a great weekend!! Cece

Hey Deb. It is nice to see you posting again. I haven't had a chance to email you.

Glad to see you are taking ownership and getting back on track. We all know what a challenge it is and that surgery isn't a magic trick. Stay strong, take strength from us. We are always here for you.

I'm doing well. 10 months out and down 92 lbs. I actually just got passed my first stall of 5 weeks...yuk...that was not fun. I am losing very slowly, and my surgeon is not happy about that, but at least I'm still losing. I'm down to 165. My first goal is to get to a healthy BMI, so I'm looking at 150 (another 15 lbs. to go). I would really like to get down to 135, but I'm not going to stress over the number. I'm so much healthier than I was last year and I'm off most of my meds.
