RMSCO Insurance

Does anyone have RMSCO Insurance?  I was wondering if you  know of anytime they have paid for Plastic Surgery or any part of it?

I have RMSCO.. From what I understand RMSCO really isn't the actually insurer.. RMSCO is a third-party administrator for companies that self-insure.    Even though my insurance card has RMSCO on it...  it's actually Excellus BCBS that is paying for my surgery, which is what my employer uses.      Basically, with RMSCO it is your employer who decides what is and what isn't covered.   I know after my surgery, my employer does cover a "tummy tuck" as long as you have plenty of "medically necessary" documentation.

I got the same deal..  if you haven't gotten one, you need to ask your HR for a copy of the insurance "handbook" it will be in there if it is covered or not.

I also have RMSCO insurance.   I know that for us plastic surgery has to be considered a medical necessesity.  It can not be for cosmetic reasons.  My companys risk manager told me document, document, document any problems you might have no matter how insigificant you think they might be.    And like someone else said, every company is different.  Not many have waivers for plastics unfortuntelly.    Good luck to you.  Sally
