I had my endoscopy this morning.  The last step of all my pre-op  stuff.  Now everything will be submitted to insurance and a date scheduled.  Woohoo.   Pretty excited. I was a bit nervous about the endoscopy.   It was was the first time I had ever been "put to sleep" in any way or form. The RN that got me all set up said that, they would give me a "sedative" that would make me feel "comfortable and sleepy".    She explained that there would be times they would have to tell me to shallow or breath deep and such... Said I might feel I slight  "tickle" in the back of my throat.. Let let me tell you..  They wheeled me into the room, dr. came in talked a little bit, the nurse  said let me give you some stuff to help you relax, it will kick in quick..   She then had me roll on my left side, and the BANG!!! next thing I know i'm waking up two hours later..   Well I didn't know it was an hour and half until the nurse came in to take my vitals she was like  "oh I was trying not to wake you" she asked if I had a ride, I told her my husband was going to be there at 12:30 (got there at 9:40 started procedure right around 10) she was like oh it's 12:30 now I'll see if he is here.    Talk about time loss.  But thankfully not even the slightest discomfort except for  still feeling a little loopy..  Was a very interesting experience..

Candi,

I am glad to hear that it went well.  I am a strong believer in better living through chemistry, especially for an endoscopy.   Hope you have a date real soon.

Congratulations on finishing all the pre-op appointments!!  You must feel like a weight (no pun intended!) has been lifted. Now the waiting game begins. Hopefully, your approval will come through quickly and you can be scheduled for your surgery. You are one step closer to the loser's bench!  Keep us informed as things progress. You are almost there!  Hugs, Lisa
