I got my letter of medical necessity from my PCP and on August 7th I'll be attending the orientation at Ellis Hospital Bariatric Center! Now the Ball is starting to roll a bit..

Just thought I would share!!

Good for you!! It's exciting when you finally get going. There are a lot of hoops to jump through before you finally have the surgery, but it's worth it.

Congrats ,what a journey you are going to have! Everyone at the Ellis program was wonderful to myself and my husband.I am 4 weeks post op RNY and never have felt better.I would do it all over again if I had to and only wish I had done it sooner.I f you have any questions just ask. Michelle

Congratulations... You will love everyone there. Every dr. is superb... They are extremely accomodating and if you ever have a question or a problem will treat you like you are their only patient. I am 4 1/2 months postop... 95 lbs lighter and thrilled to death. There is a close nit handful of us in the area who all used Ellis. Feel free to give us a shout if you have any questions at all..

Congrats to you!!! That is great!!! Like all of the other posters said Ellis is a great program & you will do very well with them!!! I chose them for several reasons one of which was how comfortable they made me feel!! (As far as I could tell from the research I did both AMC & Ellis have surgeons that are extremely well-qualified so comfort was a huge factor in my decision!! That was important for me!) Good luck!!!
