Does anyone know anything about Dr. nawaiz Ahmad.  My bariatric surgeon, Dr. Castro (who was great!) referred me to him.  I had the appt. for a consult yesterday (yes, he has Saturday hours) but I didn't really feel comfortable with him.  He wanted to schedule the surgery soon,  he didn't offer options like a panni or just breast lift, and altho he's supposedly in network or Aetna I still have to pay him 5-6K over what Aetna pays.

I have no idea about Dr. Ahmad.  I had my surgery with Dr. Sterry in Manhattan.  I had a LBL and brachioplasty in Jan. and I think he is a great surgeon.  He spends a lot of time explaining everything and his insurance coordinator is very agressive and knows her stuff. He advertises on OH a lot.  I would recommend him to everyone who is in the area.  I forget his consultation fee, but it gets applied toward the surgery fee. Have a great day! Sue

You have to stay in shape. My grandmother, she started walking five miles a day when she was 60. She's 97 today and we don't know where the hell she is. - Ellen DeGeneres

I figured that I would join the club and give my PS a shout-out too!  Dr. Matthew Schulman did my surgery and I was happy with the enitre process and love my results.  I saw several of the docs mentioned here, but Dr. Schulman impressed me from the beginning. You can see moe about him on his profile.
