Twas The Day Before June 1st.....
Twas the Day before June First
and all through Walmart
I was getting my exercise in
while pushing the shopping cart
Reading labels for sugars and fats
cause every WLS patient knows...that is where "DUMPINGS" are at
I came across the dairy section
and my head began to crave
with hunger for the tastes of brie,
blue cheese and cheddar
Looking at the labels
must have looked a sight
or maybe it was the expression of confusion
that indicated my mind full of fright
Should I get garlic and herb
or swiss or sharp cheddar
or brie or blue
or maybe some fetter (fetta I know...but it has to rhyme)
Astonished and dejected
I turned from the counter
headed for the checkout
Oh, I JUST WANT A QUARTER POUNDER!!
When who to my wandering eyes did appear??
It was JAMIE!! .
Our Fearless Support Group Leader
Without the Reigndeer
After a short greeting
she looked in my hand
and scolded me for not sipping
Oh MAN Oh MAN!
When I explained that the water
was in the shopping cart
I asked about the cheese selection
Jamie, where should I start?
she answered my question
with veteran-ese ease
I turned my head to stiffle
a short little sneeze (not really...but it had to rhyme)
How much I hate walmart
with all of its aisles
but soon I will be able to shop there
and don "faded Glory" styles
Now the end of this rhyme
is sure to conclude
just one more thing...
I hate to be rude...
to those shopping for cheese
might I suggest
purchase the Light brand of LAUGHING COW CHEESE
It is the best!

I know you were supportive....I did not mean to make you out or sound like the wicked witch of the west or east...
call it poetic interpretation or something....anything as long as it does not incriminate either of us...ROTFL!!
Thanks for being at walmart when I needed help....telepathic stuff I guess (hehe)
