Home Again Home Again....
Thank GOD I am out of that room. My "roommate" was about to drive me up a wall! The man made my stay a living hell! He got into a motorcycle accident and fractured his spine and neck (not bad enough to feel too bad for him when she showed himself a bleeeeeeep)
He was obnoxious, mean spirited, always cussing at EVERYTHING. I was trying my best to have empathy. I mean, if I was lying there, I would want some relief too, but this dude was bashing all the nurses and being a royal dork.
I was in the hospital too. I have my own concerns and problems too. I have my own health to worry about too. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO BABYSIT HIM? One of the reasons for my dehydration was because I was so stressed doing everything I needed to do...that I forgot to drink enough water. Sip Sip Sip!!!
Anywho, Dr.Singh says it was edema and put me back on clear liquids for 2 weeks. I can't believe I am saying this...but....I have lost too much weight...too fast. Dr. Singh told me that it was not good that this happened. Gee Doc...It isn't like I TRIED!! LOL
Thanks for the prayers, thoughts, words, and kind expressions given to me. I hope this is the last time I have to go back to the hospital....unless...that is an unrealistic goal.....(hehe)
Hey Tim so glad that you are home. I was surprised to hear that you were back in the hospital after you were getting around so well. I can only how unpleasant your roomie made your experience. That is certainly motivation to get out of there. Well if any positive can come of this it is at least a good reminder for us newbies to keep up the fluids. I know that some days it is a definite challenge for me. Take care
Tim:
I am glad as well that it was only edema and that your dehydration is over..now time for a daily fluid total from you wouldn't you say? *In your free time capturing all the postop events in your OH blog for memories and also growth and wel it helps others to read as well in the months and years to come! Be well and sip sip. Yes indeed focus on that protein!!!
Jamie
Tell your beautiful wife as well hello, it was nice meeting her at the hospital yesterday even if only for a moment!
I can attest to the cursing going on in the rooom, wowza!
Some people do not do well with loss of control or fear, and well they turn it into anger, projecting their helpekessness out as meanspiritedness (protection)...sigh............
