DR. Clarke Question
I'm not quite sure.. If you give his office a call, they would be able to tell you.. Also, when you attend the seminar.. They would probably tell you there as well..

Elizabeth,
Congrats on taking the first steps!! Please take full advantage of the seminar & ask as many questions of whatever dr is running it!!! I was amazed at how many people there didn't seem to know what they were getting into!! It just blows my mind!!
Dr Clarke is fabulous, but so is everyone at Ellis!!! Don't be disappointed if you don't get to see him often though!! He is extremely busy - I haven't seen him since I was discharged from the hospital but the way I look at it is if I were having complications I'd be seeing him!! I'll take Evelyn (the PA) over complications anyday!!! I am sure I will run into him sooner or later - I definitely want to thank him for giving me my life back!!!
Good luck Tuesday & let us know what you think!!! Remember - ask questions!! My Latin teacher in HS used to say "The only stupid question is the one not asked!!" I truly believe that so don't forget to speak up Tuesday!!!

HI Cici,
I have a list made up with about 25 questions :P I am sure I will have more when I am there too. I am the woman in any meetings that is always asking all the questions when everyone else just wants to leave. LOL I am fine with that, most of the question I will ask are more than likely a question that the others need to know the answer too and are to shy to ask. I tell my self that anyway so I don't feel so rude for asking so many questions :)
I assume DR. Clarke is a really busy guy but to me that means he is doing something right so I wont worry about not seeing him there. It is ok if he doesn't have time to talk as long as he does an amazing job with my tummy :)

When one door to happiness closes, another will open. I just need to stop staring at the closed door!

That is definitely a good attitude to go in with!! He is running the place now that Dr Lirio has retired & I truly believe he is the best one there (since Dr L's retirement anyway
)!! Dr P & Dr Ingram are great but Dr Clarke has been doing this longer & I have a friend at work who couldn't say enough good things about him!!! If a great surgery, with no complications, is the trade-off for the lack of face-to-face visits post-op I'll take it!!! You will see him everyday in the hospital though - he makes sure of that!!!
Good luck!!! Keep in touch!!! If you have any questions just holler!!!
