Hi OH friends,
I have been remiss in posting because it's been a really tough year, but a while back I posted to let you know of my 2 year surgiversary with an unfortunate 10 pound regain. Well, after that I gained 4 more pounds. Totally freaked out! I did not make all these life changes and have surgery to gain weight! So I got serious: I started by cutting the little sugary snacks I was tolerating out of my diet. Then I started focusing on more protein rich meals, less carbs, more water, and more walking.

I've lost 8 pounds so far, in just a couple of weeks of putting my mind and body to business! Whew! Now I am motivated to keep going, because I feel so much better. The WLS tool has definitely helped in regaining control, but it's all about commitment and follow through.

Wish me good luck getting off the rest! Each day's a challenge!

Hi Lynn,
Thanks for your sweet words of support. Four pounds is very good for two years. I bet in a couple of weeks, you could have it off if you set your mind to small changes. When was your surgery? Mine was 5/2/06 with Dr Rosati at Albany Medical Center.

I'm glad you feel inspired. It was really just total fear that motivated me!!

Hugs,
Amy

Weird, I still see feet! AMY, Whether it's fear-based or not, you've always been an inspiration to me.   Your taking control of the situation is yet another inspiration and helps me remember that this surgery is a tool, not a cure.  Life sometimes sucks, and for me that's always been an excuse to eat--not that I really need one. I could say that with your renewed commitment and follow-through, you don't need luck, but then again, a little luck never hurt anyone.  Good luck, Amy! hugs,
