Looking for a good PDP...

Hello all! I'm in the Albany area (Valatie for those of you local).  I'm looking for a good PDP.  I am 1.5 years post op RNY w/removal of my GB.  I can't seem to find one that has any experience in post op care.  I had my surgery in Springfield, MA and my the surgeon just doesn't spend much time with me when I go, other then to tell me to followup with my PDP if there are any issues.  I'd like someone local I can trust and that LISTENS!  Not to mention, someone who doesn't want to hand you a pill for everything.  What a hard combination to find.  If anyone has suggestions I'd appreciate it! Hi Renee.. I'm going to PM you  with the name of my NEW pcp.. He's awesome... I previously was seeing Jennifer Lindstrom at their Latham office... Let's just say I would NOT recommend her as since you did not have your surgery through AMC she will probably treat you as rudely and unprofessionaly as she did me.. Good luck..

It may be a little out of the way for you (I don't know), but I'd HIGHLY recommend Capital Care Cushing Center (building is attached to St Claire's Hosp) in Schenectady. http://www.capcare.com/Location/details.cfm?practiceID=4&typ eID=1 in particular, my PCP, Dr Viola... she is AWESOME.  if not her, then Dr Lee... very similar personality and mannerisms. both of them and the two PAs are great.  I can't speak of the other docs in the practice as I've no personal experience with them. There are Capital Care offices all around the area, but of course, the doctors would be different and I can't comment on them. Good luck in your search.

I think my wife and son may have seen him at one time or another when Dr V. wasn't available... but Dr V is our main doc (for all of us)... and the office staff is GREAT!!
