I got home today about 12:30ish. I was anxiously awaiting my release of gas as I couldn't stand being in that bed or chair any longer. Those beds have some serious issues... at least my roomate Carol can attest to that. Day one I felt a lot worse than I thought I would and of course had a case of the .. Oh my God what did I do. I have been getting better still tired and sore, which is to be expected. Thank you all for your kind wishes. This truly is a great community and resource for people going through this. You never would expect such kindness from strangers. So thanks again.. time to rest, sip and medicate. Ok maybe not in that order.

Welcome Home!!! SO glad to hear you did not have complications.... didnt that JP drain thingy just aggravate? What kind of bed did you get? one of those "fold into a chair beds"??? Did you get Darlene or Kristen as your nurse?

Yeah didn't love the drain... especially when it came out that felt really weird. I was in the regular bed for the first night and then slept in the chair that reclines. Never appreciated my own bed so much. No I didn't have either of them... had Evelyn, Sally, Melissa. Everyone was pretty nice. Tim I am so glad to hear that you are home and getting better. I was thinking about you on the 30th and kept waiting to hear an update and was shocked when I saw what happened. You have had such a rough month. I am glad that you are on your way to recovery.

Tara,  Welcome home! I am so happy to hear that your surgery went well.   I think we all had that "what did I do moment" after surgery, but once you're feeling better ....you'll never say that again! I wish you a speedy and uneventful recovery. Don't forget to sip, sip, sip, walk, walk walk!!  Hugs, Lisa
