I am Home....but...not quite all here yet
I got home last night around 830. I climbed out of the car....took about 10 minutes to walk up 5 stairs...and got into the house...and pretty much collapsed on the couch. Little did i remember that I can't quite control my facilites. How long does that take? How long until I can "clean up" after myself.
I went all last night without pain meds....and I am about ready to scream....LOUDER.
Thanks for your thoughts and kind words.
They did not cut the blood vessel...they cut the vena cava....
Dr. Singh had a more "HUMBLE" look on his face after the surgery....
thank GOD I am alive!
Hey there sweetie.. We've been soooooooo very worried about you. I've been checking regularly for updates.. The good news is.. you are on the road to recovery... Please take it 1 minute at a time and before you know it you'll be up and about.. and take those pain meds.. That's what their for. You'll feel better physically and emotionally when you do.
Thank goodness for my hubby... When I had my surgery I couldn't bend well, so he had to take care of me for the first couple days (if you get my drift) and then put my shoes on and help me dress for about the first week.. After that I was good to go...
Please keep us posted. We all worry about you.

Tim,
Glad to see you are home! Please do take the pain meds, that is what they are there for. As for cleaning up cannot help you there, never had a problem when I got home I was able to get around fine.
Now you are on your way to recovery. Just one minute, sip and step at a time. We were all thinking of you and missed you at support group everyone was asking about you.
Be well...

So glad to hear you are home and getting better. Get your rest, your liquids and take your meds. If you are more comfortable, you will sleep better and that will allow your body to heal better. "Cleaning up" can be an issue for a few days. May need the help of a loved one. Or a long-handled plastic spoon wrapped with a baby wipe can help. (I know -- sounds gross, but you do what you gotta do.)
And yes, thank GOD you are alive.

Strangely enough, yesterday AM I woke up with my right ear 3x its normal size...and my Left ear....2x the normal size. they gave me benedryl but I still wound up with red splochy spots all over my chest and back and face.
I look at it this way....if anything did not happen to me op or post op.....then something was wrong.

Welcome home, tell us what it means that you can not clean up after self? Unless this is too personal..What is the allergic rction from on ears? Have to talked to a health care provider about it? It could be from meds so wondering not wanting to have u keep taking a med making the reaction more severe? Jamie
