HI everyone, Thank you to those who welcomed me yesterday, it's nice to see all the support everyone gives. now of course, like everyone else who is researching the RNY, I have the fear of not being able to eat the things I do now. Like holidays and going out with friends to have dinner and a glass of wine.  does anyone who has had it done miss that stuff and finds it hard to deal with??  Do you get to the point that you wish you had not done the surgery???? Does anything make you wish you had not done the surgery???? Thanks, Elizabeth

Elizabeth, Welcome!!! Your fears are definitely normal & I can only speak for myself but there hasn't been anything for me so far that makes me wish I hadn't done this!! I cooked Thanksgiving dinner for 9 people 3 weeks out so it is possible to do if you just plan & make smart choices!! I don't drink so I don't miss that. Maybe someone else can fill you in on that!! Right now the only thing I am "craving" is a good, greasy fish fry but I know that I would be sicker than hell if I even tried so I don't dare give in!! I am working on coming up with an oven "fried" version that has some crunch to it - that's how I deal with missing old foods... I adapt the recipes to my new way of life!!

Trust me, once you start seeing the changes, then OMG - you will wonder why you waited so long!!!

Good luck to you & if you need anything just holler!! Dr Clarke is awesome & I wouldn't trade him for the world!!! Cece
