Hi all!

I have missed you all so much.  I have been very busy with work and haven't found much time to jump on the forum, though I know I need to be here!  Well, this past Friday I went to have a fluoroscope.  It's where you swallow barium so the doc can check out the lap band's fullness and functioning.  I was able to watch the whole thing...LIVE!  I went because I was concerned that I could consume more than I thought I should be able to.  WELL, Dr. Simon determined that the 4 times he or his nurse gave me fills, they missed my port!!!  It's been flipped!  We thought I had 3.5ccs in my 4cc band.  NOTHING was in there!!!  LOL  I now have a true 1.75ccs in my band and feel restriction!  YAY!!!  Now I know I'll be able to lose the last 40 lbs within the year!  (making it about 1 1/2 years to goal)

How's everyone else doing?  Love ya all bunches!!!!  Off to read and respond!

Muah to all!  xo

Great to see you back, Cheri. So does this mean all the weight you lost was not aided by the band at all? Wow! Is this something that happens commonly? Anyway, glad that you are here again and that you have what you need now to get to where you want to be!
Good luck to you --

Thank you, sweetie!!!!  I'm glad to be here!

I did feel some restriction because the band was there.  I also did have sliming, vomiting, etc when I ate too fast early on, but it seems that most of it was on my own!  (gosh don't let my best friend see I typed that!  She thinks that b/c I lost 17 lbs to get approved, I could have lost all of it on my own!)  Now, I really feel restriction!  3 small pieces of chicken chunks from Wally World made me hurl b/c I ate too much!  Because I've been eating like a "regular" person for months, I will now have to remind myself that I am a NEW BANDER!  LOL  It really is a new lease on my band.  I'm super dooper excited!!!!! xo

Cheri, Welcome back! I have missed your wonderful attitude and sense of humor. Now that you are actually getting fills in your band, I am sure the weight will start dropping off of you! I am happy to hear that you are well. Keep in touch! Hugs, Lisa
