Brooklyn/NYC Members..

Can anyone recommend a bike shop? Or even a good sturdy brand/manufacturer of bikes? Price is always a factor, but I would lik eto start riding a bike again now that I don't think I'll automatically break one when I get on it (220 pounds).

I've heard good things about Recycle-A-Bike in Dumbo. Friends have purchased bikes there.

Do they have a web address? Or maybe an address or phone number if you can provide it? Should I feel a shamed I have never heard of a place called "Dumbo" in NY? >_>

You should never feel shame about not knowing something! Dumbo is the newish name for the neighborhood Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Underpass in Brooklyn. I'm guessing that you haven't been in the NYC area very long.
