Well, it's official!!!

I just got home from my 6 month follow up & according to the scale in Dr Clarke's office I weigh 295.5!!!! I know I saw 297.5 on my scale last Tuesday before heading to San Fran but this is the "official" scale!!! I cried!!  Yup - I am such a girl!! I almost had Ann in tears too!!! I didn't get to see Dr Clarke (see what I get for not having problems ) but I saw Evelyn & she is thrilled for me!! She said I am doing awesome & what I was doing is right on & working!! Now as long as my bloods come back good I'll be really thrilled!!! I knew this was going to work but I guess I never really knew what to expect!!! I haven't seen 200's on a scale that I was standing on in decades!! This is amazing!!! If anyone out there is reading this & wondering if it's for them all I can say is that I was skeptical too about 3 yrs ago & I am so glad I did it now as opposed to then!!! I am not depriving myself of anything & have never felt as great as I do right at this moment!!! It is all mind over matter & what matters is that I wanted my life back & by george I have it!!!! Seeing that 295.5 must have been a WOW moment for sure!!!! Yes by George you did get your life back and then some!  Each day it just gets better (but you know that!)

Michelle, Thanks!! I try so hard to stay positive!! It's not easy some days but I do try really hard!! I know that negativity got me where I was in the first place so no more of that!!! Life is great!! I am going to the TulipFest next weekend with my family!! It was my mom's favorite way to celebrate Mother's Day & since she passed we've been talking about going but I dreaded the thought of walking around! Well, now I am looking forward to it & it is going to be a blast!!! Another big stop this year... the Altamont Fair!!! Dare I try the rides??  Cece

Cece, Yes try the rides!!!   When the doctor asked me why I wanted to have the surgery last fall, I said for health reasons and that I want to go to the Great Escape and ride all rides I never rode cause I did not fit.   I am buying the season pass since my daughter will be working there and we can go from time to time.   I know alot of people with passes.   I remember a few years ago I tried to ride the Comet with my daughters and had to get off since the bar did not go down to lock accros my belly I wanted to die and got off the ride saying I was scared.   Never tried that again!  I do hope you enjoy the tulip festival that is like LARAC in Glens Falls always dread going since it is so much walking - welll not anymore!!!!   Our lives are just beginning!!! OMG - I can't even remember the last time I was at the Great Escape!!! We used to go to Riverside (now 6 Flags) in Agawam, Ma!!! I loved that place!!! Hey - if I didn't need the seatbelt extender this past week on the plane but August I should be golden!!! Woo Hoo!!! You're right & we can turn our lives into anything we want them to be!!! Cece
