Ok someone said that the anesthesia was provided by IV and somewhere else I heard it was just a regular injection of valium or whatever. Which is it? I am not a great needles person ( I know least of my worries with surgery right) so I am hoping to hear it is just an injection... please someone clear it up for me.

once they put you in a gown, they will put in an iv, and all meds valium and versed go in thru it.  Good luck!

IV access they need that established should they need to add other meds/fluids. The IV Versed works MUCh quicker than any old intra Muscular! IM!! IT is a better choice on so many levels should youneed more no wanting to wait 20 min for IM to work!!! Jamie

Have to say that it went a lot better than I thought. The IV went easy and after having to be switched to a different room because something wasn't functioning I was off to la la land. I don't remember a single thing... not being told to swallow or anything. So I am pretty thankful for that. I have ever so slight soreness once I finally ate something. Thanks for your support guys. Only 8 days away now...
