I just found out from my Nutritionist that I was eating to much.  I called because I was not sure about portion size.  I was eating about 1 cup at each meal.  She told me it should be about 2 tlbsp per meal.  I'm scared.  What if I messed up my band.  I never felt the full feeling eating that.  Does anyone have some ideas?

I just purchased a scale so I could weigh and measure my food. Got it at bed, bath and beyond.  I got this suggestion from someone on the board because I don't feel full since my RNY.  This way I can eat the proper amount of food and calculate my protein properly.  Good Luck!

Many bandsters report NO restriction when it is placed, no fullenss etc...Eating smaller amounts is a habit they want, vomiting is what they want to keep you from which can cause eroision of small ters happen) and slippage etc. The green zone is where they want to shoot for. Some do not get ther or fullness until several months/adjustments.... http://www.lapband.com/life_after_surgery/optimizing_your_we ight_loss/#greenzone Get into "The Green Zone" The LAP-BAND® System Journey is different for each person and the exact amount of fluid required to make the new stomach opening the right size is unique. An ideal "fill" level should be just tight enough to let you gradually lose weight. That means you should still be able to eat enough to get the nutrients that you need, while still reducing the overall amount you can actually eat.

Brenda, First off welcome & congrats on your new band!!  Don't worry too much about it just make sure you stick to what the NUT has told you now. Definitely go out & buy a scale - it's well worth the investment!! I didn't have the band so I don't know how it feels but I can say that I weigh & measure everything!! It is the only way to be sure! Don't trust yourself to eyeball anything!! Good luck!! Cece
