Hi everyone.   I'm doing fine, I think.  Some pain in unexpected areas, swelling, etc., but otherwise nothing exciting.  I'm seeing my doc on Wed., hopefully he'll take out the drains then.  If not, Friday or Monday.  I can't wait to see him to find out when this top swelling will go down.  Someone told me to wear a man's undershirt underneath my binder--it's been a lifesaver.   Passover has been fantastic;  my family couldn't have been more wonderful, and the seders were fantastic.  It's amazing the amount of knowledge my children have and shared with us during the 2 evenings.  Thanks for all the positive thoughts you all sent me; they certainly worked.   Talk to you all soon,

Karen,

Welcome Back!! You have been missed.  It is good to hear that your Holiday went so well.  Having your family around during these times can really  have a positive effect on your healing.  I hope that you are feeling like yourself again soon.

Take care and take your pain medication as you need it, do not try to tough out the pain.

Karen, I'm glad to hear you are doing well.  I have to tell you that dh and I enjoyed our first Passover seders; even the gefilte fish was good.  I love the history and tradition of the meal, it was a wonderful experience. Hope your recovery continues to go well. Mary

Thanks everyone.  Mary, I'm so glad you and your DH enjoyed the seder.  Yes, it is a wonderful holiday. So I went to the doc. this a.m.;  he took out one drain, one is still in.  He's thrilled with the results so far.  He said my belly's still a little swollen--I said "where?"  I can't believe how good it looks!  So I don't have to wear an abdom. binder anymore.

one of the implants is sitting high--he manipulated it (ouch) and put me in a double binder.  Not the most comfortable thing in the world.  I go back on Monday to have the 2nd drain removed--then on to work.  Then NEXT Friday I see him to see if this binder thing is working--if not he'll have to do a 5 minute procedure to reposition the implant.  I'm GLAD he's such a perfectionist! I did ask him why I stil weigh 7 lbs. more than I did the a.m. of surgery; he said between all the fluids they pump in during the procedure itself and the fluids I had after, I'm still retaining some, and it should be on its way out.  I'm certainly not eating a lot.  So that's it for now, hopefully everything else will just resolve as planned.   Thanks again for all your support--It means a lot to me, and it really does help!
