knee strengthening - thigh exercises
Hello Follow Friends:
I have lost quite a bit of weight since my surgery and my knees feel a lot better, though I am now experiencing that ole sciatic pain I started to get when i first lost 100 lbs (before surgery, years ago). Like suddenly, back then I found myself aching and my legs and buttocks killing me; completely stiff.
It is happening again.
Anywhoooo what i really need if anyone can help, is exercises that may strengthen the knees; i hear thigh exercises (strength training) really has helped people after WLS.
I would appreciate any ideas or leads or links or all......
Happy Spring.
regards,
Nilsa

Hi Nilsa,
Strange how our bodies react to weight loss... you'd think it would just be all good! I wish I had some info for you but I don't just yet! I recently had a major surgery other than WLS and that caused me to have some extreme back pain. I am going to be starting Physical Theraphy soon! I have very bad knees as well. So they will be working with both. Should be within the next week or two. I will gladly post some of the things they have me do. Right now I have been doing a few stretching exercise which seems to be helping. Just the basic's. I hope a few people here can give you some suggestions! Wtg on your WL so far!
Sandra
