Nervous & an early Happy Passover
So, gang, I will spare you all the details, but I just posted on my profile blog all my feelings about tomorrow's surgery. I AM NERVOUS! we have to be there @ 6:15 (ugh)--surgery's @ 8:30 and is supposed to take 4 hours.
If I can on Friday, I or my daughter will call Lisa to tell you I'm o.k. If not, I'll post next Tuesday when the first days of Passover are over. (The 1st and last two days are considered holidays, where you're not supposed to do work (phone/cook/COMPUTER/etc.) I hate labels, but those are but a few of the rules that "observant" Jews follow. And because it's Passover, the 1st two nites (Sat. and sunday) are the Seders. I just love them--real flash-backs to my childhood, the seder table with my beloved grandfather, sigh. I'm so grateful to be able to create those memories for my children, and G-d willing, some day THEIR children.
Thus concludes today's lesson on Jewish holidays.
To my Jewish friends, I wish you a joyful and sweet Passover, and to EVERYONE I send my love and thanks for your constant support.
I would be VERY devistated if I couldn't. Unfortunately, since 2 doctors will be operating on me, the only day they both had together is tomorrow. Otherwise I would have had to wait till late May/June,and with an uncertain job situation, I had no choice.
Thank for the good wishes; pls. send lots of positive vibes!
Hi Karen,
