Vitalady to visit "great Philly/Delaware Valley" and NY locations!

Vitalady, aka Michelle and her husband, Don, are preparing to embark on a cross country RV trip, from WA state to DC for the ASBS convention and back again. They want to see as many of their "peeps" (and anyone else who wants to join us) as possible! 

The exact day for our meetup in NJ is not set in stone, but it's going to be in the vicinity of June 23rd, after work hours. 

I'm looking to set up a meeting place that's as central to as many locations as possible. If you have suggestions, please let me know :-). Thus far, my favorite spot is Mastoris restaurant/diner in Bordentown, Burlington County. www.mastoris.com It's just off 295, the turnpike, Rt. 206 and Rt. 130, and near the River Line (connection in Trenton) and the Hamilton Square stations. 

From either train station, you can take a taxi (better from the River Line stop) or those of us who live local can arrange pickup service.

There is also a gathering being planned in an NY location that is unfamiliar to me. I read something about Florida, NY. This will be right after the NJ/Philly area stop. Is there someone here who knows what's happening there?

They'll have the dates and locations and contact people on their website within a few weeks, I'm sure. I have no idea where Florida, NY is, so I guess I need to pull up Google Earth :-).

If I remember correctly, it's in Sullivan County (or possibly Orange Co) not too far from the NY/NJ boarder... and also not too far from northeast PA

Florida , NY is in Orange County , a few miles of Rt. 17, some call the Quickway. It is a little over one hour north of the Big Apple .  Between Monroe and Middletown.

Could you elaboarate on what event is going on .

What is ASBS stand for , us newbies would be interested.

I live not far from Florida and actually have a radio show on Fridays , next town over in Warwick on WTBQ 1110am and 99.1 fm

Being I had the lap band done I was thinking of tying  it into one of our shows .

We are on 1230-2pm and 9-10pm on www.wtbq.com , show is called "Prime Time"

If Florida NY is the destination may I suggest The Copper Bottom resturant right on Rt. 94 . Excellent food at good prices and they have a nice size back room for parties .

If you want to stay close to the highway , Chester Diner is right off exit in Chester before heading out to Florida . Also good food , friendly service at good prices .

Feel free to email if anyone wants to come on the show or call in to discuss weight loss surgery or this upcoming meet .

Hi Benzee! I'm glad somebody knows where this is :-D. Vitalady has friends/customers who have suggested Florida as a good NY stop. (They work all their stops around where customers and/or vendors are clustered, and where a 40-foot RV can park.I don't know who the organizers are in that area, but you can find the information at some point in the next few weeks on their website, www.vitalady.com .  ASBS is the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons (and others, like various specialists who aren't surgeons but are active in bariatric medicine). Their big annual conference is in DC the middle of June, and Vitalady is vending/displaying there.  Hey, I wonder if it might work out for you to do a show with them???? You can email them directly and ask about it, that would be so cool! Needless to say, both Michelle and Don have great personal stories to tell, and they are extremely well informed about bariatric nutrition. [email protected] and [email protected] .
